Ross McClean

Ross is a filmmaker from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has studied Creative Documentary in Canada, Hungary, Portugal & Belgium, graduating magna cum laude from the European documentary directing masters program DocNomads.

Through interaction and submersion, his work seeks to explore the depths of the human experience, and has been supported by BFI Docsociety, broadcast on the BBC and premiered in over 40 local and international film festivals.

His film ‘Hydebank’ was awarded Best Short Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh, London short Film Festival, Spektrum Festival Poland, Docs Ireland and Best British Short Film in the Leeds International Film Festival.

Currently, Ross is in production with 2 short films and his first feature length documentary supported by BFI Docsociety. He has recently completed work on a Creative Europe feature documentary exploring the border in Ireland with the Belgian production company Offworld.
